The Finnish Line
Olavi Virtanen comes from a long line of family detectives.

A disarming smile. A dangerous mind. A target on his back.
Helsinki detective Olavi Virtanen, socially off-beat, blisteringly sharp, chases one “jewel thief” across borders and stumbles into a covert pipeline of uranium, proxy states, and two intelligence services that would rather erase him than thank him. The result: a Nordic-noir–meets–spy-thriller saga about legacy, loyalty, and the cost of seeing what others miss.
About the Series
What starts as a personal manhunt becomes a collision with geopolitics. After his father is killed during a botched arrest, Olavi tracks the suspect to the U.S., and discovers the heists were cover for nuclear material heading toward Iran. Exposed and expendable, he’s fired at home and quietly recruited abroad, forced to navigate CIA/MI6 cut-outs, double agents, and manufactured truths. Across the trilogy, the stakes scale from a single fugitive to a secret treaty that could reset the global order unless Olavi outthinks the machine built to control him.
